Dog: Culture and sensitivity

A diagnostic test in which a sample of fluid or tissue is taken and placed in a special media which allows a bacteria, virus or fungus to grow. This growth is analyzed and the specific bacteria, virus or fungus is identified. Testing is then completed to determine which antibiotic or antifungal will be most effective.
