Dog: Electrolytes

Chemical substances which, in their dissolved state in the blood, are electrically charged (e.g., sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium and phosphorus). They are involved in metabolic processes and needed for the normal function of cells. For proper functioning, the concentration of each electrolyte must be maintained within a certain range.
